Brent Fitz joined Slash’s touring band in March of 2010.  They have just completed an incredible 7 month tour that took them around the world, and have more plans for 2011.

The tour began with several TV performances with Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother singing the single from Slash’s new CD “By The Sword” back in March, including The Tonight Show, The Late Late Show, and George Lopez.  The band performed two songs on George Lopez, “By The Sword” with Andrew Stockdale, and “Back From Cali” with Myles Kennedy, which would become the 2nd single from the CD.

Two months of dates around Europe, including the incredible Download Festival Performance followed, which saw guests such as Lemmy Kilmeister, Michael Monroe, and Alice Cooper join the band on stage.  The last two dates on the European run were in Russia, and bassist Todd Kerns was not able to perform due to a detached retina.  Brent got out from behind the kit and played bass for the last two shows with John Douglas (Sammy Hagar, Kick Tracy) playing drums.

The next leg of the tour took the band on a 4 week gauntlet through Asia and Australia, with Tony Montana filling in for Todd Kerns on bass.

August saw the band return to North America for run through the US and Canada.  Oct 5th and 6th were the last dates of the tour for 2010 wrapping up at the House Of Blues on Sunset in LA.
